Lamborghini Dallas serving Richardson would like to offer up a heartfelt congratulations to Lamborghini for building its 1,000th model of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 supercar. While hitting the 1,000-model mark might not be the most monumental event in itself, the speed at which these autos were produced is cause enough for praise.
Lamborghini team members worked hard to achieve this production milestone in a mere 15 months. That's quicker than the production of any other new Lamborghini flagship auto to date. For comparison's sake, the automaker's former V-12 offering spent around two-and-a-half years in production before it reached such numbers.
In commemoration of the feat, Lamborghini painted the Aventador a snappy Argos Orange before sending the model on its way to German architect Hans Scheidecker. For those who aren't familiar with the supercar's specs, Lamborghini Dallas has compiled a brief summary of some of the model's winning attributes.
Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 at a glance:
- Engine: 6.5-liter V12
- Seven-speed automated manual transmission
- Sprint time: 0-to-62 mph in 2.9 seconds
- Top speed: 217 mph
With such a strong 15 months behind it, the Aventador looks to an exciting future as well. Come winter time, the automaker will introduce a roadster variant of the speedy model followed by a roomier installment at Geneva called the "Aventador GT."
