It's official. The SUV market is growing by the minute. How can Lamborghini Dallas be so confident? Largely because our favorite supercar maker has decided to create an SUV offering of its own. That's right. Lamborghini is set to bring its powerful touch to the world of utility vehicles.

For those who haven't heard, the Italian automaker unveiled a Lamborghini Urus SUV concept at the Beijing International Auto Show and is expecting to receive the go-ahead for production by the end of 2012. Not only will the Urus give Lamborghini lovers the chance to experience their favorite brand in SUV form, but the model is anticipated to do extremely well. Company officials say the new offering will become a top-selling auto in markets such as China, the United States, Europe, Russia, and the Middle East.

Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini CEO, confidently explains, "We think the SUV segment is the right one. It has the biggest growth potential and the highest emotion. We are investing in profitability."1

Now, the real question remains, "Will the forthcoming SUV hold up to the Lamborghini speed test?" To that Lamborghini Dallas says, "Absolutely." Of course, it might dock a few hp's in exchange for greater space. But engineers and designers plan to retain all the expected Lamborghini performance by equipping the Urus with a Twin-Turbo V8 engine and a generous use of lightweight carbon fiber materials. Together these two tactics will help the auto achieve a remarkable 600 horsepower and thrilling drive.
