How lucky are we here at Lamborghini Dallas to be picking up this piece of news on the same day it happens? We are turning our attention to the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany which opened today. It appears that the Lamborghini crew didn't want to waste any time in unveiling the all-new Gallardo Squadra Corse.
As we recently reported on our blog, this special edition Gallardo is almost unchanged from the race car version save for some top-speed limits and adjusted suspension.
The new Gallardo Squadra Corse is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine that will generate up to 570 horsepower and shoot from zero to 60 in just 3.4 seconds. The vehicle is electronically regulated to keep you from going faster than 198 mph and with a curb weight of just 2,954 it is going to be hard to not want to push this model to its limits.
Some other features on this new model include red, black and yellow brake calipers, 19-inch wheels in high-gloss black, a six-speed e-gear transmission operated with paddle shifters and special carbon-fiber trim that helps to keep the weight down.
Initial estimates put this model at roughly $253,303 and there was no announcement as to whether or not more than 50 Gallardo Squadra Corse models will be produced. Of course you can always learn more by visiting the Lamborghini Dallas showroom located at 601 South Central Expressway Richardson, TX.
