A few months ago we reported on our blog that the Lamborghini Ursus had been cleared for production. Well now it is completely official, as the CEO of Lamborghini made an announcement that the assembly lines will soon begin building Ursus models for public sale.

Plans to begin producing the Ursus last year were tabled when concerns over the European economy loomed large, but after the fantastic year of sales that automakers around the globe have experienced since the beginning of 2013, it is finally time for a new Lamborghini model to enter the lineup.

Lamborghini CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, spoke about the Ursus, saying, "We're working on it and it will come, which will be good for the brand. We're going low profile now. I can't tell you much on the details now, but when we get close to the launch, we will have more."1

So far Lamborghini has not announced what we will find under the hood of the Ursus when it finally arrives at dealership like Lamborghini Dallas but the Italian automaker has never let us down before so we have high hopes.

There is a growing demand for high-end luxury vehicles in Japan, the Middle East, and the United States so the time is certainly right for a new elite SUV option to enter the automotive marketplace. We will be right here through the entire process delivering the latest news as the Ursus makes its way to our inventory of new and used Lamborghini vehicles.

Learn more about the Italian supercar brand as well as the upcoming Ursus by visiting the Lamborghini Dallas showroom located at 601 South Central Expressway Richardson, TX. We hope to see you soon.
