DNV GL (Det Norske Veritas Germanischer Lloyd), a premier global organization focused on safeguarding the environment via sustainability efforts, has awarded Lamborghini a CO2-neutral certification under the "Carbon Neutrality" program. On July 6th, the company inaugurated its trigeneration and district heating systems, which are projected to save approximately 1,800 tons of CO2 per year. You can read more about these systems here.

The Italian Minister of the Environment, Land and Sea, Gian Luca Galletti, was present at the inauguration. He is quoted as saying, "Automobili Lamborghini is the perfect example of how business can be done while respecting the environment....Manufacturing in Italy is a synonym for quality and this is essential for our region: we need to think of the environment as a big opportunity for the development of businesses."
