Squadra Corse, Lamborghini's racing department recently confirmed its ongoing commitment to supporting young drivers in motorsport with its 2016 GT3 Junior Program. The program began last year and has since developed to include 19 drivers who will get a chance behind the wheel of the Huracán GT3.
In addition to participating in various races, GT3 Junior Program drivers will also work closely with Squadra Corse staff as they take part in the GT3's development. The program is the next step to the Young Drivers' Program for drivers under the age of 26.
"As Lamborghini Squadra Corse we have a strong commitment to supporting young promise in the world of Gran Turismo. The successful sales we have been experiencing with the Huracán GT3 this year have given us the opportunity to support a larger number of drivers. We are very proud that we have 13 drivers from our 2015 Super Trofeo series who are going to participate in the world's most important GT championships supported by Squadra Corse, which means our youth program is working exactly the way we wanted."
